What is Ear Styling?
Ear styling (sometimes referred to as Ear Curation, Constellation) is when we help you design a cohesive, personalized ear aesthetic using intentional jewelry styling and piercing placement.
Some studios just ask, “What do you want pierced today?”
But that’s not how we do it.
Our approach flips the script:
We help you fall in love with a piece (or pieces) of jewelry first, then design the piercing around it.
Why? Because this leads to a better result. Jewelry that fits your vibe. A piercing that complements your anatomy. A look that makes sense for you—not just what's trending.
Our Ear Curation Process:
Here’s the method I use—and what I’ve trained my staff to use—for clients who say:
“I want something… but I’m not sure what.”
We start by getting a feel for your vibe:
Step 1:
“Yellow, rose, or white gold?”
Step 2:
“Gems or no gems?”
— If gems: “Warm tones, cool tones, or clear?”
— If no gems: “Do you like polish, texture, or unique designs?”
Then:
“Do you want to eventually add rings, chains, or charms?”
“Planning more piercings later down the road?”
Once we understand your style, we look at what you’re already working with.
This is where we can really shine.
For example:
A lot of folks come in unhappy with their original lobe placements. Maybe you got pierced at a mall kiosk by a teenager, or in my culture, your tía pierced you as a baby girl with an ice cube and sewing needle. Most of the time, those placements are off or not symmetrical. But that’s okay. Instead of letting your lobes close up or hide them, we can work with what you’ve got—and create something beautiful, intentional, and unique.
