❗Swimming and Sports: If your child participates in swimming or other sports, it’s best to schedule their piercing after the season. Earlobe piercings typically take 4-6 months to heal, while cartilage piercings may require 9-12+ months. Submerging a healing piercing in large bodies of water, using waterproof bandages to cover it, or temporarily removing the jewelry for practice or competition can lead to healing complications or cause the piercing to close.

❗Piercer’s discretion*: In some cases, our piercers may need to decline a piercing due to anatomy, recreational activities or other safety reasons. It is up to the piercer’s discretion if they are comfortable doing the piercing on a minor after a consultation.
